beautiful region
of the kingdom.
Its ranges, the
Langtang-Lirung,
are spectacular
while its forests
of fir and rhododendron
delightful. The
treks are an incursion
from the Kathmandu
Valley’s heavy
Hindu dominance
to the Buddhistic
culture of the north,
the land is dotted
with stupas, mani
walls, chortens
and monasteries
and the flutter
of prayer flags.
